Two websites, two problems

March 15th, 2006 by Dave

Last night and today I’ve been deluged with comment spam. As a result, if you don’t already have a comment posted, your comment will only be posted after I approve it. If you have already commented, you can see your comments instantaneously.

Over at gaming.unlv.edu, I’ve got my hands full. The relaunch isn’t exactly going smoothly. Once we get things up to speed, though, the site will be much more informative, and better poised for future expansion.

I’ve got a request for technical assistance that might benefit some of my readers. I want to do an “around the blogs” feature on the mainpage of gaming.unlv.edu, but can’t figure out how to incorporate an RSS reader into a live web page. I want to display headlines, etc from some of the better gaming and Vegas blogs out there. I think this will be a much better news source than the Moreover feed.

If anyone wants to help (with a Las Vegas or gaming-related blog), I can guarantee a place on the main page.
