I didn’t post any updates last week because I had several projects to work on here and because I was in the process of switching hosts. Depending on when you read this, you should be getting the new version of the site (which looks much like the old one), hosted by Vegas Media Group. A million thanks to Hunter for helping me through the process, and any lingering glitches are solely my doing.

the die is cast

is the online home of David G. Schwartz, who writes extensively about Las Vegas, gambling, and history.

He's the Director of the Center for Gaming Research at UNLV and has a Ph.D. in United States history from UCLA. He's also taught a range of subjects, running the gamut from hospitality security to gambling history to writing creative non-fiction.
