Getting away

January 11th, 2007 by Dave

I’ll be at the Winter Getaway for the next few days, so you won’t be getting any posts. On the other hand, if you’ve got an interest in poetry or prose and can make it down to Cape May (New Jersey), I think there still might be space for late sign-ups. As the website itself says:

Join us in Cape May to begin a few poems or work on a story, novel, creative essay, song, or visual image during the three-day holiday weekend honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway is well known for its challenging and supportive atmosphere which encourages imaginative risk taking and promotes freedom and transformation in each participant’s creative work. Break the winter thaw!

It should be a great creative experience for everyone and for me, with the nearest slot machine a long drive away, a refreshing break from my usual travels, which seem to revolve around casinos and gambling.
