MGM Mirage in AC

October 15th, 2007 by Dave

I’ve been getting a number of questions about MGM Mirage’s plans to build a mega-project next to the Borgata. If you are interested in my opinion, you might want to check out this piece in the LV Business Press:

But MGM Mirage’s plan to build a CityCenter East next to the Borgata makes it clear that Atlantic City will not go quietly into the sunset. Not many details are known right now, but this seems an ambitious project — three hotel towers with 3,000 rooms to start, upscale shopping, and million-dollar condos. If nothing else, it’s a tremendous vote of confidence in the city’s future.

CityCenter East holds promise for an Atlantic City at a crossroads

I’m still interested in seeing detailed renderings of the project. With this and the Revel and Pinnacle projects, the city is going to look very different in 5 years.
